We are thinking about doing a day trip to the Lakes this December. We are going to get a rental car from Zadar and drive up for the day. We were wondering what would be the best time to arrive into Plitvice and whether it is a nice drive from Zadar to Plitvice National Park?
Any tips?
Hi Alba, a day trip to Plitvice Lakes from Zadar will be on the tight schedule but still doable.
The earliest you arrive, the better as the sun sets very early in December.
It is a very nice, easy and scenic drive to Plitvice, takes about 2 1/2 hours sometimes a bit more for 135 kilometres distance.
