VigdisGuestWe are to a bit elderly women from Norway arriving Dubrovnik 11th of May about 12.35.
As it seems a bit confusing how to get to Korcula with ferries or bus via Orebic.
How much will the total costs be for 2 persons going by taxi all the way?
Thank you in advance.
IvanGuestThe price for taxi from Dubrovnik to Korcula should be about 120 Euro for both of you.
There is a bus that goes to Korcula Town from Dubrovnik, at 3pm, no need to change in Orebic, just sit on the bus and it takes you to the town – check here:
VidgisGuestThank you very much.
Maybe I also could ask you to help us with more questions.
As it seems impossible to go by a ferry to Korcula on Thursdays in May, we had decided to go by bus to Orebic and a ferry from there to Korcula. I have some trouble to figure this out.
Is this possible sometimes AFTER about two o’clock in the afternoon Thursday 11th of May?
And do the car ferry from Orebic takes foot passengers?
I will appreciate your answer very much, as we want to go the cheapest way..
IvanGuestYou can take bus to Orebic or to Korcula Town whichever you prefer, ferries do take foot passengers;

VidgisGuestThank you for your help!!
We are looking forward to come to Kroatia, my friend for the first time, and me for the fifth. I am sure it will not be the last for either of us. marvellous country!!
SusanGuestWe are trying to decide if it is better to take a ferry from Dubrovnik to Korcula town and then a taxi or bus or water taxi to Vela Luka where were will be staying OR if we should just take the shuttle bus from the Dubrovnik airport all the way to Vela Luka. The shuttle bus shows it only as a 3.5 hours journey but google maps shows it longer. If the shuttle bus makes stops, how long does it really take? Is there a bathroom on the bus? These answers are not on the shuttle bus website (korkyra). Also, which journey will be more pleasant? Sometimes I don’t feel so well on a bus. Maybe we should hire a small private car? Thank you for your help!!
IvanGuestSusan, if you are travelling straight from Dubrovnik airport to Vela Luka I would suggest you to just take the shuttle bus from the Dubrovnik airport all the way to Vela Luka.
If you prefer to stay for a while in Dubrovnik, than take ferry to Korcula and taxi or bus to Vela Luka from there.
I am not sure about bathroom on bus but I’m positive that bus will make at least two short breaks on the way to Vela Luka.
Ferry can be more pleasant however, sometime if seas are rough it can be not very pleasant journey.
To make booking for shuttle bus you have to do it in advance directly with Korkyra bus company.
If you are considering to hire a car, which is also a good optioin get quote here https://www.croatiaferries.com/car-rental/- AuthorPosts
